Bridge play

OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 19 in the Recreation Building on King Street. A six-table Howell movement was played. Finishing first in flight A were Linda Leotsakas and Paul Mitnik, also first in flight B; second in A, Lorry and Fred Letourneau; third, Priscilla Rooth and Hazel Glazier, also second in flight B and first in flight C.

Third in flight B were Cynthia Clifford and Claire Lyons; second in flight C, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr, also fourth in flight B; third in flight C, Hank Sakrison and Denny Raymond. There will no game Friday, Nov. 26.

The next game will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3. All bridge players are invited and a partner is  guaranteed.

Bake sale

FARMINGTON — A Thanksgiving bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Pinewood Terrace, 136 Rosewood Dr. Proceeds will benefit resident activities. For more information, call 779-0511.

Pie and bread sale

FARMINGTON — The Cascade Brook School will hold its fourth annual fundraising pie and bread sale from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in the library at the school. Some of the projects that are paid for by outside fundraising are: duty monitors, fourth and sixth grade planetarium programs and the fifth grade trip to Fort Western.

Holiday fair

WATERFORD — The Window to the Holidays fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Waterford Wilkins Community House next to the church on Plummer Hill Road. Coffee and muffins will be available in the morning.

Lunch will feature fish chowder, another chowder, sandwich rolls and apple crisp for dessert. The fair will offer homemade food, candy, books, knit articles, Grandma’s Attic and the down stairs yard sale will be open.
