‘The Convincer’
LISBON — The Lisbon Police Department, in conjunction with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety, invites those interested to ride “The Seat Belt Convincer,” an easy-to-use educational tool that allows riders to experience force, up to five times their body weight, similar to that of a five- to seven-mile per hour crash.
Demonstrations will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St. Riders must be 18 or older. For more information, contact SRO Officer Estes at 353-4132 or e-mail [email protected].

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 18 were: first, Cecile LeBlond and Ed Madden; second, Andrea Metayer and Sandy Oliver; third, Muriel Webber and Roger Patry; fourth, Steve Agurkis and Terry Chambers; fifth, Don Maillette and Don Haley.

Snowflake workshop
LEWISTON — L/A Arts invites the community to a paper snowflake-making workshop from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at L/A Arts Gallery 5, located at 49 Lisbon St.
Held in conjunction with the Twin Cities’ tree lighting ceremony, the workshop is free and people of all ages are welcome. No experience is necessary and materials will be provided. Guests may stop in and make as many snowflakes as they like.
