Thanksgiving meal
LEWISTON — All are welcome to a community Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 25, at the Lewiston Root Cellar, 89 Birch St. Two seatings will be available at 11 a.m. and noon.

Grange fair
POLAND — Excelsior Grange will host a Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27. There will be wreaths, food items, gifts, white elephants and a silent auction.
Lunch will be available after 11:30 a.m. The building is handicapped accessible at the rear door of the hall.
Sabattus Seniors
LEWISTON — The Sabattus Seniors will host a Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 2, at Marco’s, 12 Mollison Way. Lunch will be buffet style starting at noon.
The cost is $15 each person. For more information or to sign up, call Doris at 784-7950. Bingo will be played after meal.
There are no new trips for this year and the remaining ones are full. Information on next year’s trips will be made available at the next meeting.
Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 22 were as follows: first, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; third/fourth tie, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos with Les Buzzell and Paul Sherman.
First in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe. Games are played at 9 a.m. every Monday and Tuesday and at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.
Bakers needed
AUBURN — Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends will have a two-day bake sale on Dec. 18 and 19 at Kmart and are in need of people willing to put their baking talents towards a good cause.
Tommy’s is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter that provides food, shelter and veterinary care to feral cats. They rely on donations and receive no federal funding. For more information, call Norm at 650-8374.
