BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield Glee Club lost to Camden Hills Regional High School in an online voting contest for best of five glee clubs in the western Maine/eastern New Hampshire area.

Buckfield music teacher Ethan Wright said the winners were announced Tuesday.

The 11 Buckfield Junior-Senior High School girls performed live on the local Fox channel’s Good Day Maine program two weeks ago. The winners, called Camden Hills Gleesandro, received $5,000 for their music program and a trophy.

Other schools that participated were Yarmouth High School in Maine and Moultonboro and Kennett high schools in New Hampshire.
