NEW GLOUCESTER — Players from the Maine Table Tennis League won first and second place in all seven events Saturday at the Maine State Championship. The events drew more than 50 players from Bangor to Sanford.

Results were as follows: A, 1. Sonu Bhatia, 2. John Govostes; B, 1. John Simpson, 2. Peter Wong; Over 40, 1. Al Landry, 2. John Govostes; Over 60, 1. Rick Shea, 2. Jim Nason; Under 18, 1. Sebastian Taylor; Women, 1.  Irena Stepan; Doubles, 1. Sonu Bhatia/Eric Medina, 2. John Govostes/Sean Farley.
