AUBURN — Timon E. Nilsen, 87, of Lisbon, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Clover Manor.
He was born in Austad, Norway, on March 24, 1923, the son of Theodor and Eva (Russell) Nilsen. He moved to Maine many years ago, where he worked for the Maine Central Railroad as a cook.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Withee) Nilsen, whom he married Sept. 26, 1953; his sons, Timothy and wife, Libby, of Brunswick, and Mark and wife, Heidi, of Gray and Keene, N.H.; grandsons, Byron and Justin Nilsen; his sisters, Ruth Brown of Skowhegan and Judith Jonnasen of Norway, Europe; and his brother, Paul Nilsen, of Norway, Europe.
