RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert “Butch” Barre was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov.27, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Gift bearers were his grandchildren, David and Sarah Barre. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” Readings were done by his son, Greg Barre and grandson, Adam Barre. The eulogy was given by his daughter-in-law, Sue Barre. Pallbearers were Emil Barre, Norman Barre, Dan Barre, Roger Bosse, Dan Grenier and Mike Barre. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of SG Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
