BOWDOIN — Jim and Claire Murphy of Lewiston are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Laura Murphy of Bowdoin, to John Firczak of Bowdoin, son of John and Michelle Firczak of Bowdoin and Gina McDonald of Lewiston.

Miss Murphy is a 1999 graduate of Lewiston High School and is currently a stay-at-home mother to their two daughters.

Mr. Firczak is a 1998 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and is employed as an electrician at Bath Iron Works.

The couple is planning a Sept. 10 wedding.
