Bean supper
NORWAY — A traditional Western Maine Bean Supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St. It is the second in a series of “First Friday Fantastic Family Feasts.”
The cost will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under age 10. Takeout will be available.
The menu will include baked beans, hot dogs, homemade brown bread, coleslaw, salads, casseroles, homemade desserts, coffee and juice. Quarts and pints of beans will also be for sale.

Holiday dance
HARRISON — The Waterford World’s Fair will host a holiday dance at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the VFW Hall. The band will be the Rockin’ Road Runners and the fee is $10 a person. There will be light refreshments available to purchase. For more information, call Penny Hill at 461-5466.
‘Toys Galore’
OXFORD — The Resistance Ministries will hold the fourth annual “Toys Galore” Chinese auction fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Oxford Recreation Building on Main Street.
The auction will feature hundreds of brand new items, including toys, electronic items, clothing and other items. The auction will include a dollar table, 50/50 raffle, grab bags and food and drink. Doors will open at 1 p.m. to purchase and place tickets; the drawing will start at 2 p.m.
Tickets at the door are $20 for 100. Specially priced advance tickets are $30 for 400 and $25 for 300 on sale while they last. For tickets and more information, call 743-6982.
Seniors to meet
BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will gather at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Bethel Inn for a meeting and dinner. The price for dinner is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers.
Reservations must be made before noon Monday, Dec. 6, by calling Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877. Members are asked to donate to Christmas for Families or Christmas for Kids.
