The paradox of Pope Benedict XVI officiating at a consecration of a beauteous new church in Santiago, Spain, and the election of a socialist/Marxist as Spain’s president is almost too much to bear. President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero advocates speedier divorces, homosexual marriage and greater access to abortion — all those policies in direct defiance of Christian moral truths.

How could that be unless huge masses of devout Catholics were asleep in their pews?

I make analogy to President Barack Obama. Basically, his initiatives are the same as Zapatero’s.

How could that be in a nation founded on Christian moral teachings? Why were devout Christians hoodwinked by the silvery-tongued orator?

Even now, to satisfy Obama’s gay base, he pushes for repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell.” He violates the law itself for his own ends. The Defense of Marriage Act forbids policies that betray marriage of a man and a woman. Yet Obama publicly proclaims his disdain for DOMA. Behind the scenes, though the law does not allow, he gives federal benefits to gays. He uses his bully pulpit to intimidate the whole military institution.

The supposed study of repeal is skewed, according to a recent Chris Wallace show. Rather than ask if the policy should be repealed, the question given to the military is, “How do we implement ‘don’t ask, don’t tell?'”

Open homosexuality within the military is unbecoming conduct in violation of the military code of conduct and opens the door further to homosexual marriage.
