LEWISTON — The Maine Gladiators notched two wins and a tie on a recent three-game weekend swing.

The Gladiators started with a hard-fought, 3-2 win over the Kennebec Hurricanes. Kyle Morin scored two first-period goals. Griffin Wade provided an assist. The Hurricanes rallied to tie it after two periods before Trevor Lachance picked up the game-winner with an assist from Kiana Melvin. Kyle Welsh was solid in net for the Gladiators.

In its next outing, the team traveled to Exeter, N.H., and rolled to a 6-1 win over Nashua. All three lines applied pressure throughout. Lachance led the way with two goals and an assist. Liam Benson added a goal and an assist. Dustin Larochelle and Luc Dostie each lit the lamp. Owen McCarthy registered three assists, with two by Ben Steele. Ridge Servidio was strong in the Gladiators’ goal.

The weekend concluded with a home tie against the Breakers, who scored with 46 seconds remaining to salvage the deadlock. Welsh made numerous big saves to keep the Gladiators in it. Dostie scored twice in the second period with assists to Benson, Lachance, Larochelle and Conrad Grimmer.
