PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society will hold a public Christmas party, to which all are invited, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9.
Cynthia Immonen will present an illustrated story entitled “And Christmas Came to New England,” which tells how Christmas was celebrated in New England from the time of the Pilgrims to the present. The story also shows how we got Christmas customs came from European countries.
Members of the society will furnish yuletide refreshments, and coffee and punch will be served. Everyone is welcome to learn more about Christmas customs, see the museum decked out for Christmas and take part in fellowship and refreshments. The museum is handicapped accessible.
This will be the last meeting of 2010. The first meeting of 2011 will be held at 7 p.m. April 21, the third Thursday of the month.
