Art Pulse Cooperative and Gallery in Lewiston will host an opening reception on Saturday, Dec. 4, for two artists, Dave Mireault and Debra Trafton. Mireault, a photographer, practices the style known as straight photography, attempting to capture scenes as realisticly as possible without manipulation in Photoshop or the darkroom. He has been working on an ongoing series titled “1/2 hour lunches in downtown Lewiston.” An Auburn resident, Trafton earned a bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Southern Maine in 2002. She enjoys painting primarily in watercolors and acrylics on a variety of surfaces. The art show will feature pieces from her “Cityscapes” and figure series. The reception will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at the gallery on the second floor at 178 Lisbon St. This photo taken by Mireault is titled “Kramer.”
