LEWISTON — Lorraine A. Breton, 77, of Lewiston died Thursday, Dec. 2, at Russell Park Living and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness with family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, April 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Alexander and Marie Louise (Charest) Blanchette. She was married to the late Robert L. Breton, who died on March 19, 1992. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a member of Holy Family Church.

Lorraine was employed as a dietician in food service at Bates College for more than 20 years retiring in 2000. Following her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and loved gardening.

She is survived by a son, Robert G. Breton and his wife, Mary Lee, of Gardiner; a daughter, Marie Breton of Rockville, Md.; two brothers, Alexander Blanchette of Lewiston and Normand Blanchette and his wife, Carmen, of Berwick; three sisters, Jackie Cayer and her husband, Gerard, of Connecticut, Connie Strasser of New Jersey, and Patricia Cahill of Missouri; two grandchildren, Christopher Breton and Carissa Breton; and one great-grandson, Kaden.
