FARMINGTON — Andre “Frenchie” J. Hebert, 78, a resident of Main Street, Jay, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 5, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

He was born May 21, 1932 in Notre Dame des Bois, Quebec, Canada, the son of M. Emery and Alice (Gaudreault) Hebert. He was educated in Canada. On June 16, 1962, at St. Rose of Lima Church, he married his wife of 48 years, Suzanne Ouellette of Jay. He worked at Livermore Shoe and Bass Shoe. He later worked for Forster Manufacturing, working until his retirement in 1995. He and his wife, Sue, enjoyed going to sporting events at Jay High School. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Hebert of Jay; his brother, Bert Hebert of Canada; and his brothers-in-law and their wives, Lenny and Delores Ouellette and Donald and Donna Ouellette, both of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
