CARTHAGE — Folk trio Dave Rowe and organist/pianist Phil House will team up for the “Maine Mountain Christmas” concert Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center. Due to a scheduling snafu, master guitarist Denny Breau will not be able to perform with them.
Joining Rowe and his band and House will be Don Campbell and his wife, Tonya Shevenell, who plays electric bass.
A national winner of the True Value/Colgate Country Showdown at the Grand Ole Opry, Campbell has opened for Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, his fresh but familiar voice has taken him from his hometown of Scarborough to his second home in Nashville.
Tickets to the 7 p.m. concert are $15. Call 562-4445. There will be a 5:30 p.m. pot luck supper starting at 5:30 p.m. in place of the usual preshow jam session. Skye Theatre is at 2 Highland Road.
