LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are looking for the owner of .22 caliber handgun that was recovered during an investigation on River Road.
“We have no idea who it belongs to,” police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
Anyone who may think it is theirs would need to describe it to police to claim it. The station number is 897-3424.
Police are also investigating a break-in at two hangars at the Bowman Field Flying Club’s air field on River Road.
Entry was forced, he said, and there were planes and other items in the hangars.
Nothing appeared to be taken, Steward said.
During an investigation on Monday, police did arrest a man on a fugitive from justice charge, he said.
Troy Walker, 39, of Union Street, Livermore Falls was arrested on a warrant on a parole violation, he said. He is on parole for burglary, theft of residential property.
