RUMFORD — Betsey D. Knox, 46, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 8, with her loving family at her side, following a courageous 6 month battle with lung cancer.
She was born in Rumford, Friday the 13th of December in the middle of a blizzard, the daughter of Roger and Susan (Dyke) Knox.
Betsey was a graduate of Dirigo High School, Class of 1982.
She always worked in grocery and convenience stores; most recently having worked at Food City in Turner.
Betsey especially enjoyed meeting people, making friends and sharing a smile.
She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving are his parents, Roger L. Knox of Peru and Susan D. Arsenault of Canton; a daughter, Ellen Marie Webber and companion, CJ, of Canton; a son, Ryan Lee Webber and companion, Brianna, of Canton; a stepdaughter, Erika and family of Berlin, N.H.; two brothers, Larry Knox and friend, Liz, of Dixfield and Brian Knox and wife, Amy, of Peru; several stepbrothers, stepsisters, and their families; many aunts, uncles and cousins; nephews and nieces, Glen, Derrik, Tanya, Chad, Courtney and Scott; and a great-nephew, Brayden.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Christopher; her stepbrother, Albert Arsenault Sr.; Grammy and Grampa Knox and Grammy and Grampa Dyke.
