Coach: Reggie Weston (fourth year)

Last year’s record: 14-6, lost in Western C semifinals.

Returning letter winners: Senior — Hannah Knight (5-7 guard/forward); Juniors — Alyssa Wade (5-7 guard/forward), Paige Murphy (5-4 guard), Erin Turner (5-4 guard/forward), Miranda Shurtleff (5-6 guard/forward), Angela Ronan (5-11 center/forward); Larissa Bryant (5-7 guard/forward); Sophomores – Ambyr Wilson (5-7 guard/forward), Kayla Gaudin (5-8 forward), Lexi Noyes (5-1 guard), Natasha DeRoche (5-4 guard), Natalie Bolduc (5-3 guard), Gretchen Bradbury (5-5 forward).

Promising newcomers:  Freshman — Lindsy Crutchfield (5-4 guard).

Key losses:  Jane Hebert (guard), Ricki Sinclair (guard), Tricia Turner (guard), Morgan Hutchins (forward).

Outlook:

The Cougars lost some key regulars from last year and have just one senior and four players that saw significant time last year. Knight was an all-conference pick that scored 10.9 points per game. Wade, Murphy, Turner also return while Ronan and Shurleff both missed significant time to injury last year but are back. Dirigo also has a strong group of young players looking to step into larger roles.

Coach’s comment:

“We will continue to work hard on defense, rebounding, ball handling skills and outside shooting. We will need to continue working on physical and mental toughness.” Coach Reggie Weston.
