Coach: Scott Graffam (12th year)

Last year’s record: 8-10

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Matt McVety (6-3 center), Dan Taylor (5-8 guard), Derek Morin (6-0 guard); Junior — Josh MacDonald (6-3 forward).

Key losses: Cody Hadley, Matt Verrier, Nate Dubois, Andrew Keniston, Jake Hall, Asher White, Kyle Farrar, Ethan Davidson.

Promising newcomers: Senior — Chris Priest (5-9 guard); Juniors — Brian Lynch (5-9 guard), Deric Hanscom (6-0 forward); Sophomores — John Frechette (6-2 forward/guard), Jordan Croteau (6-0 guard); Freshman — Matt Beauchesne (5-8 guard).

Outlook: Oxford Hills bid farewell to the giant senior class that fueled its Class A baseball championship run. They’ve been in the middle of the pack in KVAC basketball for a few years, and at first glance the Vikings are so young that you might pencil them in at that level once again. Graffam is high on his team’s young talent, however, and the topsy-turvy nature of the southern division might allow them to sneak into the tournament a year ahead of schedule. MacDonald and McVety saw the most significant playing time last season. They give Oxford Hills a formidable frontcourt tandem.

Coach’s comment: “(We’re) young and inexperienced but pretty talented. Probably fighting for one of the last spots in Augusta.” — Coach Scott Graffam
