Coach:  Jake Gentle (eighth year)

Last year’s record: 14-5, lost in Western B quarterfinals.

Returning letter winners: Seniors —Kelsey Linnell (5-11 center), Allie Fitzgerald (5-5 guard), Ashley Fournier (5-8 guard), Randi Brannon (5-3 guard); Juniors  —Jessica Campbell (5-9 forward), Alexa Harmon (5-4 guard), Brianna Moore (5-8 forward); Sophomore – Bailey Madore (5-6 guard).

Promising newcomers: Juniors  —  Haley Eck (5-7 forward), Sarah Giraldo (5-5 guard); Freshman – Jenn Smith (5-2 guard).

Key losses:  Renee Moore (guard), Shelby Brannon (guard), Amber Cloutier (guard).

Outlook:

The Greyhounds lost three veterans including Moore, the MVC South Player of the Year. Lisbon still has some experience and some size in the post.  A solid defense and proper execution and balance on offense will be a must for Lisbon. The Greyhounds should be a solid team in the MVC and in the chase for a Western B berth.

Coach’s comment:

“This season we expect to compete with teams in our conference. We have some experienced upper classmen that will lead the team. The keys to Lisbon’s success is executing on offense, limiting our opponents to one shot, rebounding and protecting the the basketball.” Coach Jake Gentle.
