Coach: Mark Kenney (first year)
Last year’s record: Did not compete last year.
Roster: Seniors — Emma Davis (5-9 guard/forward), Cheyanne Day (5-10 center/forward), Nicena Walker (5-7 guard/forward), Tianna Wells (5-4 guard), Cheyanne Haas (5-2 guard); Junior – Echo Hoyt (5-7 forward/center); Sophomores — Jenna Putnam (5-9 guard/forward), Kailey Kennagh (5-4 forward); Freshmen – Casey Blaszczak (5-6 guard), Alyssa Brands (5-5 guard), Maisey Griffin (5-5 forward), Autumn Morin (5-5 guard/forward), Anna Saucier (5-6 forward), Savanna Patenaude (5-6 forward), Hali Barter (5-2 guard), Jenny Wakefield (5-0 guard), Lexi Broomhall (5-8 forward/center).
Outlook:
The program took last year off because of not having enough players. The Rebels are back with a young squad that features 17 players, 11 being underclassmen. Only Davis, Day, Walker and Putnam have experience at the varsity level. Davis and Putnam played with the boys’ program last year. Davis, Day and Walker played with the Rebels as freshmen and sophomores. There will certainly be growing pains this season as the program gets started again, but with nine freshman, there’s a nucleus to build from.
Coach’s comment:
“They are young and inexperienced, but they very energetic and are a great group of kids. I’m very lucky. All 17 get along extremely well. They’re very supportive of each other and they work well together. They make my job easier.” Coach Mark Kenney
