FARMINGTON — Two people were injured, one car was totaled and an estimated $5,000 damage was done to three other vehicles during two accidents on Friday, police said.

The first accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. when Debra Brown, 55, of Wilton, had stopped to turn into a driveway on Industry Road and a truck behind her couldn’t stop in time and rear-ended her car, Farmington police officer Jordan Norton said.

Brown complained of back pain and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, he said. She was treated and released, he said.

Her two grandchildren were secured in their car seats in the back of the car and were not injured, Norton said.

The driver of the pickup truck, Mason Tracy, 59, of Farmington was also not hurt, he said.

Norton estimated that Brown’s 1995 Oldsmobile was totaled and Tracy’s 1997 Ford truck received $500 in damage.

Harris was treated by NorthStar Emergency Services ambulance personnel at the scene and released, he said.

Fronk was very shaken but not hurt, he said.
