It is vital that the public be able to distinguish between the parties and what they stand for. President Barack Obama’s proposed compromise blurs the issues for an electorate that is distracted and confused.

Let it be clear that the Republican Party unalterably supports the rich.

Obama should let the tax cuts expire and rally the people against the bullying tactics of the Republican Party.
