A blustery Northeaster carrying more than five inches of powdery snow lashed the Twin Cities yesterday.

One done, one underway and one soon to begin. That’s the scorecard on three formerly vacant buildings in Lewiston’s downtown that were targeted for redevelopment in 1985.
On Friday, the developers of Centreville Plaza at 179 Lisbon St. will mark the end of nearly $1 million in renovation work that began last February.
Crews will continue work on a $123,000 renovation at the former Art Circle building at 124-128 Lisbon St., and developer William Johnson will continue efforts to finalize a $500,000 rehabilitation of the former Benoit’s building at 168 Lisbon St., starting construction before the new year begins.
