LISBON FALLS — Kaitlyn Hunter and Colton Jackson, Lisbon High School graduates of 2008, were selected to have their art work displayed for the 2010 University of Southern Maine juried exhibit.
USM held the opening for its annual Juried Student Exhibition on Nov. 18 in the Gorham Art Gallery. Jurors, Daniel Fuller, Barbara Sullivan and Jody Dube, selected the strongest art work from the many pieces submitted.
Hunter was also one of three artists in the show who won an additional Jurors’ Award for her piece, “Dirty Laundry.” The exhibit will be on display through Friday, Dec. 10.
Many of the works in the exhibition will move to the Area Gallery in USM’s Woodbury Campus Center on the Portland campus where they will be on display from Jan. 17 through Feb. 17. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday.
All events are free and open to the public. The galleries are closed for snow days, university breaks and holidays. For more information, contact Carolyn Eyler at 780-5008.
