SCARBOROUGH — Cary Arthur O’Neill, 48, partner, friend, brother, uncle, artist and amazing cook, left his earthly bonds on Nov. 18, after a brave 2-year battle with cancer.

An avid outdoors man who loved life, Cary enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing and kayaking.

For 23 years, he was an award-winning member of the Maine Association of Broadcasters. He served as marketing director, graphics designer and camera man. His passion was to promote peace through education and confronting ignorance.

He is survived by his partner, Dan Wadas; brother, Lance; nephews, Ashe and Erik; mother, Yolanda; and a wealth of friends, too many to name. He loved them all. He will be missed dearly.

Cary was predeceased by his father, Melvin.
