AUBURN — Artist John Girouard has patented an art process involving wax crayon and hot glue that results in a vibrant infusion of colors embedded in a polished surface. His colorful abstracts and stylized objects may be seen through Jan. 7 in L/A Arts’ Art and Ale window at Gritty McDuff’s Brew Pub, $68 Main St., in Auburn.
As a boy, Girouard loved the outdoors and often went camping, hiking, fishing or hunting.
“Abstract art takes me deeper into my being,” Girouard said. “I have long felt the connection between the wilderness, spirituality and my work as an artist.”
His compositions feature layered glazes, rich colors, gestural strokes and a sense of light and depth.
All of the works in the window are for sale and may be viewed online at www.laarts.org.
