BOSTON — Joseph Francis “Feeny” Wormwood, 38, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 9, from an injury sustained while working.

He was born in Norway, June 21, 1972, to John G. Wormwood Jr. and the late Arline T. Wormwood of South Paris. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1991, where he participated in the forestry program. After graduation, he worked in the woods and later became employed in the modular housing industry, where he was involved in new home setups.

Those who knew Joe knew that he liked to live life to the fullest. Joe enjoyed mudding, having pig roasts and spending time with friends and family. If there were kids around Joe was always a kid with them, a true child at heart. Joe always knew how to make his several nieces and nephews laugh. Joe will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Most of all, he will be missed for being the life of the party.

Joe is survived by his sons, Joseph Whitney and Justin Wormwood; grandson, Kayden; his father, John G. Wormwood Jr.; brothers, John, Raymond, Michael, Jason and Joshua Wormwood; sisters, Theresa Derenburger, Laura Poire, Jennifer Wormwood and Jillian Wormwood; nine nieces; and nine nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Arline T. Wormwood.
