LEWISTON — Phyllis Ann Berry, 70, of Phillips, died Monday, Dec. 13, at the Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Augusta, Nov. 29, 1940, the daughter of Raymond and Anita (Poulin) Merrill and attended Augusta schools.

She had worked at Lipman’s Poultry, DeCoster Egg Farm, as a nurse’s aide in Idaho, at Livermore Falls Shoe and as a secretary for the Chamber of Commerce and UMF.

Phyllis was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Phillips and enjoyed playing beano, crocheting and drawing.

She is survived by three sons, Boyd Mark Berry and his wife, Anne, of Whitefield, Benji Carroll Berry of Littleton, Colo., and Charlie Dean Berry of Lewiston; two daughters, Tammy Ann Begin and her husband, Gary, of Wilton and Renee Marie Maddox of Littleton, Colo.; brothers, Malcolm Merrill of Hollis Center and Bill Bailey of Avon; sisters, Merlene Bentley of Limington, Marsha Savage of Oklahoma, Priscilla Higgins of Wilton, Sheila Jalbert of Phillips and Jeannine Rusgrove of Branford, Conn.; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Dickie, Phillip and Paul Dutil and Sylvia Howe.
