AUBURN — A Lewiston man injured in a Tuesday morning crash on Minot Avenue remained at Central Maine Medical Center a day later.
George Nickerson, 77, was being treated for multiple injuries suffered in the collision that claimed the life of 19-year-old Robert Parker of Lewiston.
Police said early indications are that Parker may have briefly lost control of the car he was driving, causing that vehicle to strike Nickerson’s Jeep, which was traveling in the opposite direction.
On Wednesday night, a CMMC nursing supervisor could not comment on Nickerson’s condition at the request of the patient’s family. Nickerson had been listed in critical condition earlier in the day.
The crash was still being investigated Wednesday.
