On Sunday afternoon, an event was put on by the senior class of Livermore Falls High School, as they put it, “To Honor and Celebrate the Senior Citizens of our Community.” This is the third year they have put on such an event.

The afternoon started with a luscious turkey dinner, followed by a Christmas skit, and musical entertainment. The tables were decorated with beautiful Christmas centerpieces which were raffled off, plus there were pies and other desserts.

The students were all dressed in their best dresses, pants and shirts. They treated everyone like royalty, were respectful and seemed to enjoy every moment. They waited on us hand and foot, and were given a well deserved standing ovation.

What a joy to have such wonderful young people in our community. We, as a community, and especially their parents and teachers, have every reason to be very proud of them.
