LEWISTON — George J. Morin Sr. of Tampa Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 31, 1932, the son of Ludger and Rose (Boulet) Morin. He attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and later received his GED.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked all his life for Local Union 783 as a plumber and pipefitter.

George was an avid pool player and belonged to the Maine Valley Pool League. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 22.

George was a simple man, who enjoyed being with his family for family gatherings and outdoor activities. He also loved his dog “K.O.”

He is survived by his wife, Germaine (Beaudoin) Morin, whom he married on June 12, 1964; his daughter, Diane Boulay and husband, Steve, of Buckfield; his son, George “Joey” Morin Jr. and fiance, Kelsie Fahey, of Sabattus; and his brother, Roger Morin of Connecticut.

He was predeceased by his twin brother, Willie; his brother, Gilbert; and his sisters, Margaret Labbe, Dorothy Langley and Anita Robitaille.

The family wishes to thank Kathleen Langelier and all other health care aides at the Androscoggin Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for George and also to Coastal Med Tech, Inc.
