DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like a copy of a picture in the Thanksgiving 2010 paper. It is on the front page of your City section. Please tell me how to order it online. I spoke to someone, so I know I can do it, but the website isn’t clear to me. Thanks so much. — Peg via e-mail

ANSWER: The Sun Journal’s web editor, Pattie Reaves, assisted Peg with her request, but she and Sun Spots thought that addressing this topic would be useful to readers.

If you see a photo in the paper you like, visit sunjournal.com and look at the photo online. If the paper owns the rights to it and can sell a print, there should be a “buy a print” link beneath it. Just click that link and follow through.

If you want a photo but don’t know where to find it, visit http://tinyurl.com/sunjournalphotos, and we’ll try to find it for you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I wish to buy several archives old articles.

I would like to know how to proceed. What is the price Is it possible to pay with PayPal? With best wishes. — Anonymous

ANSWER: Readers can read older newspapers online thanks to the archive provided by Google. Unfortunately, it does not include print capabilities, and the Sun Journal does not have a supply of old newspapers available for sale.

The only option for a print that Sun Spots knows of is a copy off a library microfiche. You can contact the Lewiston Public Library by visiting their website, www.lplonline.org, or by calling 207-513-3004.
