AUBURN — Dominique W. Plourde, 83, formerly of 230 Ash St., Lewiston, died Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Clover Manor in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 22, 1927, he was the son of J. Thomas and Helen Laverdiere Plourde. Educated in local schools, he served in the U.S. Navy. He married the former Gertrude Drouin on Jan. 16, 1954. Dom was employed for 18 years at Twin City Tire, then worked for five years at Armstrong Rubber Co. in West Haven, Conn., and was a district sales manager for Goodyear-Kelley for 15 years. A former member of the Fairlawn Country Club, he was an avid golfer and also enjoyed traveling with his wife.

Survivors include his wife of Auburn; a sister, Gisele Vinet and husband, William, of Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews.
