SOUTH PARIS — Reed W. Saunders, 69, of South Paris, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19th.

He was born in Lewiston on May 2, 1941, the son of Phyllis Boutelle Sorrentino. He attended schools in South Paris and Providence, R.I. He served in the National Guard. He worked at A. C. Lawrence Tannery as a supervisor before becoming a self-employed painter/roofer and chimney sweep. He was a former member of the Norway/Paris Kiwanis Club and the South Paris Fire Department.

He enjoyed eating out, walks on the beach, traveling, attending the kid’s games and caring for family pets. He had been a blood donor for many years and enjoyed helping people, especially shut-ins and the disabled.

He is survived by his companion of 10 ½ years, Joanne Moulton; three daughters, Robin Saunders and her companion, Mark Becker, of Middletown, Conn., Randa White and her husband, Michael, of Norway and Shannon Roberts and her husband, Scott, of Norway; four grandchildren, Brooklee Marshall and her husband, Michael, Nicholas White, Whitney Roberts and Tayla Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Tredon and Colvin Marshall; two brothers, Robert Sorrentino and Joe Sorrentino and their families, all of Providence, R.I.; two uncles, Ronald Estes and Roland Estes; Joanne’s children, Josh Moulton and Johnna Moulton; four grandchildren, Merlin Moulton, Mallory Moulton, Sheri Moulton and Evan Poliquin. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Boutelle.
