FARMINGTON — A 16-year-old Wilton boy was charged with driving to endanger after a car accident on the Whittier Road, police said.
The juvenile also received a traffic citation on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, police Lt. Shane Cote said Wednesday.
Two girls and four boys, ranging from 14 to 17 years old, escaped serious injury when a 1999 Ford Taurus went off the road about 5 p.m. Friday, rolled over and landed on its wheels, according to police officer Michael Adcock’s report.
Apparently no one in the car was buckled, according to the report, Cote said. Some of the occupants were treated at the scene for cuts and bleeding, and at least one was taken to the hospital.
The maximum sentence for the misdemeanor charge of driving to endanger is six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, Cote said.
