AUBURN — Nancy Marie Wells, 71, of Summer Street in Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Dec. 22 at Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on March 14, 1939, the daughter of Edwin and Edith (Nickerson) Harrington. She was a homemaker most of her life; her most important jobs were her children and husband. Christmas Eve marks 45 years of marriage with her husband. She had a radiant smile and was always tickled to see her grandkids. She was excited for the arrival of her great-grandkids, and had three more on the way.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Wells; seven siblings, all of the Lewiston/Auburn area, Ina Berube, Lucy Lepage, Elbridge Harrington, Bonnie Caron, Blaine Harrington, Sharon Haynes, and Tony Harrington; nine children, Edward Wells, of New Hampshire, Rockwell Wells, of Lewiston, Rachel Pelletier, of Sabattus, Ray Wells, of Auburn, Theresa Wells, of Auburn, Michael Wells, of Lewiston, Paul Wells, of Livermore Falls, Paula Wells, of Auburn, and Joseph Wells, of Lewiston; five children from a previous marriage, Darel Carr, of Oklahoma, Robert Carr, of New Hampshire, Rhonda Carr, Melissa Glenn and Arlene Carr, all of Florida; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Lavonia Herrick, and brother, Lanning Harrington.
