Paul Lagrange of Lewiston has been creating Christmas villages since high school, but this year’s village has extra meaning. Lagrange’s 2-year-old granddaughter, Aryanna Inman, died in a house fire on Oct. 25 in Illinois. A special Tinker Bell Christmas stocking has been hung on the village Christmas tree in memory of Inman. Lagrange’s father began the village tradition and Lagrange built his own villages in the corner of his bedroom while a student at Lewiston High School. Lagrange said a lot of the village elements come from yard sales and some are birthday presents. It takes him about three weeks to put the village in place.
