AUBURN — Harcourt Louis Rousseau, 93, of Lewiston, passed away Dec. 24, in Auburn.
He was born Aug. 27, 1917, the son of the late Cyprien P. and Fannie (Berry) Rousseau.
Harcourt graduated from Lewiston High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant, serving in the U.S. and the Pacific Theater during World War II.
On Oct. 15, 1948, he married Lois Darleen Fey of Nebraska. He worked for New England Telephone Co., beginning as a lineman and then transferred to the equipment and installation department as a foreman. Before retiring, he was an equipment installation planner for the State of Maine.
He was a member of Ashlar Lodge No. 105 A.F. & A.M., Ancient Scottish Rite Valley of the Androscoggin, Consistory Valley of Portland and the Androscoggin Valley Square and Compass Club.
Harcourt’s hobbies were raising roses and working with minerals and metals.
He is survived by his two nephews, Paul Figoli and wife, Mary, and Gina Figoli and wife, Cynthia, both of Massachusetts.
Harcourt was predeceased by his wife, Lois Fey Rousseau; and his sister, Pearl (Rousseau) Figoli.
