LEWISTON — Paul N. Chandonnet, 57, of Ferry Road, Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a four day illness with acute promyelocytic leukemia. He was surrounded by his loving family from arrival in the emergency room to his passing.
He was born in Lewiston, July 13, 1953, the son of the late Marcel and Dolores (LeBlanc) Chandonnet. He was educated in Lewiston schools, graduated from Lewiston High School with the Class of 1971 and attended the University of Maine at Augusta for two years.
He was married September 15, 1979, to Sandra Young. Paul started working as a plumber for his father during high school and later went on to own and operate C&M Plumbing and Heating upon his father’s retirement in 1982. He was looking forward to retiring in Rockwood with his wife and dog.
Paul’s hobbies included going to camp in Rockwood, fishing the Moose River, tying flies and cooking in the garage. Paul was a lifetime member of the Webber Ave. Social Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Lewiston; a daughter, Sarah Chandonnet of New Orleans, La.; two sons, Matt Chandonnet and his girlfriend, Sheena Roy of Lewiston and Greg Chandonnet and his wife, Andrea, of Lewiston; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Young of Lewiston; and his brother-in-law, Richard Young and wife, Vicky, of Raleigh, N.C.
He was predeceased by his mom and dad.
