The Student Senate at Central Maine Community College teamed up with the Salvation Army again this year to collect gifts for families in need. All 70 name tags on the Giving Tree, located in the main lobby of Jalbert Hall, were taken and more than 100 gifts were collected. In addition, $150 was donated by faculty and staff members to purchase additional gifts. The Salvation Army reports that 556 families (with more than 1,300 children) in the L-A area signed up for the program. Pictured here loading up the gifts are, from left, admissions representative MarcGosselin, student Yoonseog Jang, Lt. Jason Brake of the Salvation Army, and Dean of Student Services Betsy Libby.
