MECHANIC FALLS — Adult Education’s winter/spring program has been announced.

January general interest classes include:

Belly Dance: No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing; a hip scarf of some sort is also helpful. It will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Jan. 11. Registration is $25 for a six-week session.

Couponing: Learn tricks to get $2 to $4 items for less than a dollar or free. The class will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26; registration, $5.

Fitness for Life with Deb Conway: Step aerobics and resistance exercises for tone and strength. Six-week sessions from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, through mid-June. Sign up at 6 p.m. at the first class; registration, $25 a session.

Heartsaver CPR/AED: Receive training for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automatic external defibrillator. Heartsaver AED card will be given upon successful completion and skills testing. The course is physically demanding. It will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 19 or Feb. 16; registration, $50 due seven days in advance.

Knitters’ Night Out: For the person who knows a little about knitting and would like to go further or for the experienced knitter who would like to join others for a night out. Learn how to knit, purl, make cables, add color or get help to complete a project. Weekly Thursday sessions from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 6; registration, $5 per four-week session.

Quickbooks: Designed for computer literate beginners. Topics include initial set-up, forms and accounts, sales and invoices, payments, deposits, entering and paying bills, analyzing data and paying sales tax. The course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22; registration, $50 at least four days in advance.

Classes require a minimum number of prepaid registrations. Download a registration form from http://mechanicfalls.maineadulted.org and mail to P.O. Box 129, Mechanic Falls, ME 04256 or stop by the office at 108 Lewiston St. (third floor), Mechanic Falls. The office is closed through Jan. 3.
