AUBURN — Harcourt Louis Rousseau, 93, of Lewiston passed away Dec. 24.

He was born Aug. 27, 1917, the son of the late Cyprien P. and Fannie (Berry) Rousseau.

Harcourt graduated from Lewiston High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a staff sergeant, serving in the U.S. and Pacific Theaters during World War II.

On Oct. 15, 1948, he married Lois Darleen Fey of Nebraska. He worked for New England Telephone Co. beginning as a lineman and then transferred to the equipment and installation department as a foreman. Before retiring, he was equipment installation planner for the state of Maine.

He was a member of Ashlar Lodge No. 105 A.F. & A.M., Ancient Scottish Rite Valley of the Androscoggin, Consistory Valley of Portland, and also the Androscoggin Valley Square and Compass Club.

Harcourt’s hobbies were raising roses and working with minerals and metals.

Survivors include a nephew, Paul Figoli and his wife, Mary, of Massachusetts; and their daughters, Gina Figoli and Cynthia Figoli, both of Virginia.

Harcourt was predeceased by his wife, Lois Fey Rousseau; and his sister, Pearl (Rousseau) Figoli.
