LEWISTON — Stephanie Raye Webster, 38, a resident of Pond Road, Wales has now made Heaven a brighter place after the angels came for her Sunday, Dec. 26, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Friday.
She was born March 21, 1972, in Lewiston, the daughter of Ralph L. Webster Jr. and Susan (Walker) Webster. Stephanie has left an enormous void in the lives of her family. She blessed them richly during her life and the imprint of her love will not be forgotten by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her parents, Ralph and Sue Webster; her brother, Ralph “Chip” Webster III and his wife, Penny, “Ya~Ya” to her niece, Jordan Webster and her nephew, Colby Webster, all of Wales; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Whittier and her husband, Herbert, of Monmouth; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and caregiver and very special friend, Theresa “Terry” Harris and her husband, Dave, of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Nelson W. Walker and Ralph L. Webster Sr.; grandmother, Kathleen Webster Blaisdell; stepgrandmother, Evelyn Walker; and her uncle, G. Dennis Walker.
“A meeting was held quite far from Earth! It’s time again for another birth. Said the Angels to the LORD above, this Special Child will need much love. Her progress may be very slow, accomplishments she may not show. And she’ll require extra care from the folks she meets down there. She may not run or laugh or play, her thoughts may seem quite far away, in many ways she won’t adapt, and she’ll be known as handicapped. So let’s be careful where she’s sent, we want her life to be content. Please LORD, find the parents who will do a special job for you. They will not realize right away the leading role they’re asked to play, but with this child sent from above comes stronger faith and richer love. And soon they’ll know the privilege given in caring for their gift from Heaven. Their precious charge, so meek and mild, is HEAVEN’S VERY SPECIAL CHILD.” By Edna Massionilla
