NORWAY — Mark A. Daniels, 86, of South Paris, died Monday, Dec. 27, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Paris, son of the late Alfred and Ethel (Twitchell) Daniels. His wife of 59 years, Lillian (Pechnik), died in 2006.

He served in the Army during World War II with the 75th Division and was in the Battle of the Bulge. Until his retirement, he was employed as a carpenter, both locally and for the union.

Mark is survived by a son, Mark C. and wife, Nadeen, of Auburn; twin daughters, Linda Pappajohn and husband, Philip, of Newark, Del., and Brenda Wiley and husband, George, of Mason, N.H.; three grandchildren, Jason Wiley, Craig Wiley and Alyssa Daniels; a great-grandson; a twin sister, Mary Boynton; a sister, Phyllis Lasselle; brother, William Daniels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
