I am pleased to see that the Sun Journal and other newspapers are dropping blogs where people can comment without identifying themselves. Why should people be given a free public forum to say things that may or may not be true and frequently are mean-spirited as well?

I pay for a newspaper because I want news held to certain standards.

I, for one, am a supporter of the new policy.
