PORTLAND — Jacqueline Iola Wallace, 86, died early Wednesday, Dec. 29, at The Cedars, where she resided.

She was born Dec. 9, 1924, to Albert and Joanna (Hood) Tenney in Strickland, on her maternal grandparent’s farm. Jacqueline attended the Portland schools and graduated in 1942.

She worked running the elevators at the Masonic Building on Congress Street after she graduated. She married Arvner Foster in 1942, and was widowed in 1944.

She married Clarence W. Wallace in 1945 at the First Baptist Church, who predeceased her in 1992. Jackie was a loving wife and mother and devoted her time to her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jodi – Ann Wallace; her sister, Beverly Swett; and a large number of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
