Eric Agren, owner of Fuel Restaurant in Lewiston, was caught by surprise when he was named the 2010 recipient of the Minerva Award from LA Arts on Thursday during a reception at Gallery 5. The Minerva Award was created by L/A Arts to emphasize the role the arts in addressing social, educational and economic development issues in the community. Agren donated 100 percent of the Gallery 5 space to allow Maine artists to showcase their work. “The return on the gallery investment and what is has done for artists in this community is more than I ever imagined,” Agren said.
