LEWISTON — Simone L. Albert, 83, of 5 Genest Street, Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 30, at her home.

Born in Lewiston on June 5, 1927, she was the daughter of Odina and Marie-Anna Carrier Langelier. Educated locally, she attended Bliss College, and was employed for many years in the meat department of Bourque’s Market on Sabattus Street.

A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she enjoyed traveling, especially on senior bus trips and road trips with family, loved watching the New England Patriots and was an avid reader.

Survivors include her son, Michael, and wife Joanne of Greene; two brothers, Richard Langelier of Lewiston, and Bertrand and wife Mary Langelier of Lewiston; two sisters, Germaine and husband Robert Blanchette of Lewiston and Therese V. Langelier of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Angela and husband Michael Lyle of Lewiston and Jeremy Albert of Crestview, Fla.; and a great-granddaughter, Aspen Raye Albert, of Omaha, Neb.
